R12.2 startup and shutdown scripts

In this post covered frequently using start and stop scripts in EBS

EBS Start and stop scripts located at "$ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME"

individual scripts also availabe for start and stop for particular services. 



adstrtal.sh

This scripts is used to start all EBS services like middle tier, concurrent tier,forms,ect..

This scripts requires APPS and Weblogic Password 

Log file Location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adstrtal.log


adstpall.sh 

This scripts stop the all EBS services like middle tier, concurrent tier,forms,ect..

This scripts requires APPS and Weblogic Password 

Log file Location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adstpall.log


adnodemgrctl.sh 

This script is used to start and stop the Node Manager services.

It is known as root services and is a component of the fusion middleware services introduced in R12.2.

Starting and stopping this services no impact on normal application operations but it will affect weblogic maintenance activity

This scripts requires weblogic password.


Context file variable"s_root_status&s_nodemanagerstatus"

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adnodemgrctl.txt


USAGE 

adnodemgrctl.sh <start>


adadminsrvctl.sh

This script is used to start and stop the weblogic adminServer

These scripts provide the front page of weblogic page and weblogic admin console.

Starting and stopping these services no impact on normal application operations but it will affect other maintenance activities Ex: Patch  

This script requires APPS & Weblogic password.

 

Context file variable: “s_admin_status & s_adminserverstatus” 

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adadminsrvctl.txt

 

USAGE

adadminsrvctl.sh <start|stop>


admanagedsrvctl.sh

This script is used to start and stop the fusion middleware servers.

Its required admin server to be up and running. 

It will be managing the multiple servers below servers are frequently using in EBS

  • OACORE services
  • OAFM services
  • Forms services

Context file variable: “s_web_applications_status,s_oacorestatus,s_oafmstatus,s_formsstatus”

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/

 

USAGE

admanagedsrvctl.sh {start <managedservername> |stop <managedservername> |startall <servicetype>}

 

adopmnctl.sh

This script is used to start, stop and check the status of OPMN.

The Apache Server (OHS) is controlled by OPMN services.

Starting and stopping these services will impact the application services

 

Context file variable: "s_web_admin_status&s_apcstatus"

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adopmnctl.txt

 

USAGE:

adopmnctl.sh <start|stop|status>

 

adapcctl.sh

This script is used to start, stop and check the status of Oracle HTTP Server. 

Starting and stopping these services will impact the application services


Context file variable: "s_web_admin_status&s_opmnstatus"

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adapcctl.txt

 

USAGE

adapcctl.sh <start|stop|status>

 

adalnctl.sh

Start / Stop Applications apps Listener process. This listener will be in 10.1.2 home (forms and report home)

Its also called batch processing services.

Application Listener Services supports Concurrent Manager services.

This service is required to run all apps nodes that have CM services configured.

Starting the Listener Services and internally starting the service manager (FNDSM) via gsmstart.sh  

Starting and stopping these services will impact concurrent manager services.

 

Context file variable: " s_batch_status & s_tnsstatus "

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adalnctl.txt

 

USAGE:

adalnctl.sh (start|stop|status) <listener>

 

adcmctl.sh

Start / Stop and check status of Concurrent Manager Services.

Before launching this service, the application listener service should be started.

This script requires APPS password.

Starting and stopping these services will impact concurrent manager services.

 

Context file variable: " s_batch_status & s_concstatus "

Log file location: $INST_TOP/logs/appl/admin/log/adcmctl.txt

 

USAGE:

adcmctl.sh (start|stop|abort|status) (<APPS username/APPS password> | <Applications username/Applications password>)

 

adformsrvctl.sh 

Start / Stop Forms Server in Socket Mode

Start forms OC4j This also controlled opmnctl top start stop form services.


USAGE

adformsrvctl.sh <start|stop|status>

 

Order of startup and shutdown the EBS

Startup 

Start the database services

sqlplus / as sysdba startup

Start DB listener

lsnrctl stop/start <listener name>

Start Database

Start application services

adstrtal.sh


Shutdown

Stop application services

adstpall.sh

Stop the DB services

Stop DB

Stop listener
